I knew I had to write about his sudden death, but I didn't quite know where to start. It didn't feel right to do it from my perspective. This album isn't about me, so I went the other way and tried to give the man himself a voice. After all, he had died while he was alone in the house, shortly after having been visited by his good friend Douglas. So in a sense, he slipped away quietly.
