This is another rarity one off I did some decade or other ago with my buddy Jonas Van Schoote aka Sanwa, in the interim between my alt. rock band Sole and Ahráyeph..
I was asked at the time to contribute to a Ramones tribute CD and I immediately said I wanted to do this track, because I instantly knew how I wanted to do it. And since I lacked synthesizers at the time, I went to Jonas and asked if he wanted to help out, seeing as he had recently come into possession of a Power Mac with Cubase VST 24 and a Roland JV-1010 synth module, as well as an AKG C414 mic with which we could record vocals and assorted noises (listen for the lawnmower!). He liked the idea, so after I had recorded the guitar, bass and drum computer parts (no drum sample players available yet), we went to work at his place and then Jonas added his synths. He had total freedom, except for the accordeon part (yes, it has an accordeon part). He really did a great job on it. And this is what came out of our collaboration.
Well, not quite. Since that recording - which did make it onto the tribute CD albeit in a truncated version - I've re-recorded guitars, bass and drums (now with a drum sample player) and remixed the entire thing to make it sound the way I had in mind. I mean, the cover itself sounded great, but the quality of the mix was debatable, so being the perfectionist I am, I wanted it to sound the best it could.
Enjoy this fine piece of history. And wherever you are now, Jonas, thanks again. I couldn't have done it without you.

Prog, Goth, Rock, something music-y. Definitely dark. Dark is good. If you like dark music with the odd odd time signatures thrown in with the melancholy, this is your place to be.
